Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Freaking out!! So excited!
But there’s this little voice at the back of my head telling me theres going to be a (really annoying) cliffhanger!! :/
Rachel looks so beautiful!

Will the New Directions will win the competition?
And marriage Finn / Rachel? Will it happen? I hope there is a purpose for the line Finchel be taking this direction. There was a sensible time in the previous episode between Finn and Hurt and a dialogue between the parents of Rachel (do not need to end the relationship, just are too young to marry). We wait for more drama with excellent performances from Cory :)

Wow! Okay when i just saw that video i had to watch it over again because i couldnt believe my eyes. I do a little bit agree with Rachel’s fathers that they are to young for marriage, but i don’t think they should break them up just because of that. If they are both really happy i think they should do what their hearts say and get married that day.
The “on my way” episode is going to be AMAZING i can’t wait to watch it next tuesday! :)

Finn’s floundering and Rachel’s scared, so of course they want to get married. Their relationship is the one solid thing in their lives, and they don’t want to take the chance they could somehow lose each other. So is marrying a good idea? Probably not. Marrying when life is overwhelming and your’re holding onto each other in a death grip isn’t likely to be a successful move. These two should marry when they’ve worked out their individual issues with each other’s help before they leap into matrimony.
As to “Heart”, it was my favorite episode this season, primarily because of Rachel’s dads. They were hilarious and so right for Rachel. Can certainly see where she gets it from.
Sam and Mercedes? Nobody believes these people are a couple.
Finally see why Sugar is on the show, but why would Artie and Rory want this materialistic mess of a girl?
Can’t we just get rid of Karovsky? Unless he’s going to throw a wrench into Kurt and Blaine’s relationship, he’s another example of the writers putting in too many meaningless scenes – time better spent on the graduating seniors. The actor’s good but that’s no reason to have him popping up yet again.
The scene with Rachel’s nighttime ritual harked back to the first season. Characters revealed themselves by letting us into their thought processes. They spoke to us and revealed things not easily conveyed through endless conversations.
Probably too late, but I hope the writers are able to get back all the things we loved in Season 1 and dump the approach that makes Glee just another teenage show.

Totally agree with you on the Finchel issue @bac. I love the two of them together, but it’s really not the right time or situation to bring a teen marriage into play. There’s nothing wrong with an extended (4-6 yrs) engagement while they finish college, life choices, figuring things out, etc. But as I’ve stated, this is TV, so the writers are trying to set something up for next season so Lea, Cory, and Chris can remain on the show even though they are graduating seniors. I’m wondering if either Rachel or Kurt will be denied acceptance to NYADA and the other will remain in Ohio to go to local college. MY guess would be Kurt HAS to stay and in terror of being in NYC without him (even with FInn) she declines her admission. In their messed up, teenaged minds, Finn and Rachel are using the other instead of facing their issues dead on.
I too adored Rachel’s dads. When I read that Jeff Goldblum was going to be one of her fathers, I squealed with delight! My sons actually watched the episode simply because he was in it!
Sam and Mercedes? eh. I can take or leave them. I can see how they’d work out, but I’m not a big fan of them. I didn’t like Shane, though, so by default if they end up together, I’d be okay with it.
I’ve alternately liked and hated Karofsky since season 2 when he kissed Kurt. Dave also has a lot to go through before he can be accepted by anyone, including accepting himself. He was scared when the former team mate saw him at Bread Stix with Kurt, so he’s still far away from coming out officially. I’d rather see him with Kurt anyway. I’m not a big Blaine fan. He’s a male version of Rachel, with a bigger mouth.
And lol, @ the night time ritual. I noticed it too. I think Rachel’s a little OCD and having Finn around during it (and the morning ritual too!) shows just how much work they need to do before they can really live together! Poor Finn having to use the downstairs toilet LOL.
I’d like to see Sugar with Artie. I don’t know why; they just seem to maybe work together. Rory turned into a little conniving leprechaun, huh?
And who’s the dreadlocked guy? Is he from ‘the glee project’ too?
Did anyone else feel that Mercedes asking the God club (or whatever the heck it was called) whether they could sing to Brittany from Santana smack a bit of hypocrisy? She’s best friends with Kurt, has brought him to her church and introduced him to her family and friends, but sending a singing valentine gram to a lesbian is up for debate?

As an older fan, glad to have someone to talk to about Glee. From remark about sons, I’m assuming you’re not a teenager.
Hard to imagine Rachel turning down NYADA, considering it’s been her focus for 3 years. If she did turn it down, I’d like to see her develop a more complex and subtler view of becoming a star. The last 2 seasons she seemed to me to become more of a caricature of the mean-spirited, competitive performer than she was in Season 1.
The only thing we know about Shane is that he gave Mercedes a higher opinion of herself (maybe too high), and that he’s going to Ohio State, so I never had an opinion one way or the other.
I’ve never seen Karovsky as a major player, so that’s why I didn’t understand the scene. He’s at another school now, and I think we’ve heard enough about the difficulties of coming out through Kurt and Santana.
You’re right. Who knew Rory , who until now has seemed like a fifth grader, could be so devious?
The dreadlocked guy was actually the winner of the Glee Project. Rory and the girl from the eye-opening episode where Rachel and Kurt realize they’re not all that special were told they were also winners but with a smaller story arc.
I think Mercedes is trying to be sensitive to others who may not agree with her on the gay issue. Hypocritical? Not sure. We may have found out if there had been some objection to the Santana request.

@bac, you’re right. I’ve got three teenagers myself, one a fangirl in LOVE with Cory Monteith. At least I know she’s got great taste in guys ;-)!
I know it’s hard to imagine Rachel turning down NYC, but considering how fearful she’s been this season, I can kind of see it happening. Sometimes you get so focused on a goal that when it’s within reach, attainable, you get scared and back off. Rachel’s a teenaged girl, so I can see that as a sibliminal reason for turning down her dream. My biggest quirk/worry about Rachel is that she IS so focused on Broadway, that nothing else matters. In a way it parallels Finn’s own desire to play football. Of course, we’ve seen his dreams dashed, and maybe she’s worried the same thing will happen to her; she’ll get that close and be told by NYADA, a Broadway producer, a director that she really isn’t that good. Then where will she be? Finn is her safety net. Just as much as Rachel is his. When he finally confronts his feelings about his father, and his inability to follow his own dreams, I think we’ll see some serious fireworks.
So far, ‘Hearts’ and ‘Yes/No’ were my favorite episodes. I’d like to see more Kurt/Finn interaction. Their onscreen chemistry as brothers has been neglected far too long. The last few episodes have given us only a taste of that ‘Hudmel’ brotherliness. I miss it.
Thanks for the info on the Glee Project winners. I should just google it or something lol. While it was on last year, I didn’t have cable at the time so I was totally in the dark when all these new characters came into play.
Thanks for the discussion. I like hearing from fans who aren’t young enough to be my children, and don’t begin their posts with ‘OMG, CORY TOTALLY IS HOTZ!’ lol!

marti1013 confess that I also like listening to fans who are interested in discussing the wealth of topics that deals with Glee.

@marti1013, I agree about Kurt/Finn. Thought the scene between them where Kurt tells Finn that unlike him and Rachel, who have many clones, Finn, as a “hot, straight jock”, has a lot less competition, had the ring of truth about it. Shows a brotherly affection in a realistic way. Also, does it give us a hint about the future? After seeing this scene I imagined an unexpected twist to the NYC plot. Suppose Finn has more success than either Rachel or Kurt?
Also see your point about Rachel turning down NYADA. Your explanation for why she might do it makes sense.
February 17th, 2012
bac, could be a sensational twist to the story of Finn. In the scene in which Rachel does not allow to use your bathroom, he demonstrated a sense of reality and I loved to see him impose himself on the idealization of the teenage Rachel. In the scene following Finchel, the situation was resolved, and she assumed that intimacy had been expected for a couple already married – behavior that previously, Rachel was not ready to take forward to their parents. (sorry for my English, because I use Google Translate)

What some Finchel fans just don’t seem to grasp is that Rachel has nothing to lose from this marriage BUT Finn has EVERYTHING to lose!!! Rachel’s goals are set, she’s on her way to super-stardom with or without being married to Finn. But what does Finn have?!?! NOTHING!!! This is why I’m saying that he’s walking himself into a trap of misery, putting his life on hold just so he can support his girlfriend…yah I don’t think so!
Does anyone realize the divorce rate of teen marriages? Well Hiram certainly researched it and its pretty damn high, especially if one half of the couple is being forced to cater to their significant other for the rest of their life (which will increase chances of divorce). Finn is in a completely dark place as I said, he only proposed because he felt like his whole world was being ripped away from him! This isn’t a fairytale its reality and people go through exactly what Finn is going through which is “depression” and “identity crises”, these are not traits of a happy young individual ready to walk down the isle!! And Rachel is being completely selfish to not recognize the severness of how messed up he is and what this will do to him mentally and emotionally! She’s taking complete advantage of him because all she’s thinking about is having him as her cheerleader and having her dreams! Well eventually Ms. Berry is gonna have to learn you can’t always have your cake and eat it too!
I’m just so worried for Finn and I can tell Kurt is now on board to protect him from a miserable future. Yes it may seem like he just jumped on the “support-Finn” bandwagon because his interest in Finn’s case happened 12 episodes later in the season BUT what alot of you don’t seem to realize is that Kurt’s always been there for Finn when he’s needed him. Kurt has always carried Finn’s best interest at hand. No he hasn’t been perfect and he has been selfish in the past but the fact that Kurt wants to help his brother who’s suffering so much speaks volumes for how much he loves Finn. Kurt’s not Finn’s babysitter or his parent so he has no obligation to him, he wants to help Finn because that’s his brother/friend and he cares too much to see him fall even further than he has. So if anyone can get through to Finn it’ll be Kurt! I just hope this wedding is unsuccessful for his sake :(
@marti1013 I completely agree especially about Furt!!!! Cory and Chris were so on in “Spanish Teacher” the whole time I was thinking…”RIB why the Hell aren’t you allowing these two more scenes together?” That was their best scene so far and best acting from them I’ve seen in a while!!!! It was beautiful, touching, emotional….ahhhhh just everything!!!!!I was totally blown away and didn’t expect how that conversation was gonna go but it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Their amazing chemistry, the depth, the affection, Cory and Chris really deserve some award because that was the BEST damn acting I’ve seen from them for awhile!!!! Now you guys see why I love when these two share scenes one-on-one!!! I want more!!!!!! And we better get more of these two damnit!!!!! Oh and from the sounds of it 3×15 is going to be Furt plotted so I can’t friggin wait!!!!!!!!!! XD
February 17th, 2012
Actually I don’t know if you guys knew this but critics and fans alike have been raving about that one Furt scene alone for two weeks, recognizing the incredible onscreen chemistry between Cory and Chris! In fact it was the most talked about moment of that episode, even tended on Twitter! So that right there should tell you something, just hope RIB keeps it in mind they’re wasting pure gold right there!
